چکیده

This paper presents a mobile, easy-to-maintain wireless electroencephalograph (EEG) system designed for work with children in school environment. EEG data acquisition platform is small-sized, battery-powered high sampling rate that scalable to different channel numbers. The was validated study of live z-score neurofeedback training quantitative (zNF-qEEG) typical-reading and those developmental dyslexia (DD). reads controls real-time (zNF) signals, synchronizing visual stimuli (low spatial frequency (LSF) illusions) the alpha/theta (z-α/θ) score neural oscillations. NF sessions were applied during discrimination LSF illusions contrasts. Visual feedback provided color cues remodulate activity DD their cognitive abilities. combined zNF-qEEG magnocellular parvocellular tasks (VTs) compensated deficits temporal areas affecting occipitotemporal pathway more left-hemispheric ventral brain post-training low-contrast illusion dorsal dysfunction high-contrast illusion. better α/θ scores postD temporoparietal middle occipital regions can be associated an improvement special processing, while precentral parietal cortices due advancement processing improvements reading speeds twice as after 4 months qEEG z-NF-VT training, three times fewer omitted words errors.

Portable wireless neurofeedback system of EEG alpha rhythm enhances memory

BACKGROUND Effect of neurofeedback training (NFT) on enhancement of cognitive function or amelioration of clinical symptoms is inconclusive. The trainability of brain rhythm using a neurofeedback system is uncertainty because various experimental designs are used in previous studies. The current study aimed to develop a portable wireless NFT system for alpha rhythm and to validate effect of the...

Meditation Training and Neurofeedback Using a Personal EEG Device

The neuroscientific literature provides evidence that meditation may have measurable effects on the electrophysiological activity of the brain. We utilize a single-sensor EEG device to compare meditation and baseline epochs from a cohort of 31 long-term meditators from Tibetan and Indian monastic backgrounds. We show that our support vector machine approach can distinguish between these two sta...

Brain-training for physical performance: a study of EEG-neurofeedback and alpha relaxation training in athletes.

In recent years, EEG-neurofeedback training (EEG-NFB) has been increasingly used to optimize various brain functions. Better performance in various activities was also reported after relaxation trainings, another popular method in therapeutic practice. Both these methods are used as a part of professional coaching in sports training centers. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the impact...

Working memory training using EEG neurofeedback in normal young adults.

Recent studies have shown that working memory (WM) performance can be improved by intensive and adaptive computerized training. Here, we explored the WM training effect using Electroencephalography (EEG) neurofeedback (NF) in normal young adults. In the first study, we identified the EEG features related to WM in normal young adults. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve showed that...

EEG-based local brain activity feedback training—tomographic neurofeedback

Along with the development of distributed EEG source modeling methods, basic approaches to local brain activity (LBA-) neurofeedback (NF) have been suggested. Meanwhile several attempts using LORETA and sLORETA have been published. This article specifically reports on "EEG-based LBA-feedback training" developed by Bauer et al. (2011). Local brain activity-feedback has the advantage over other s...
